My Basketball Poll !

Well, this is the last week for regular season basketball and I want to take time out to give you my rankings and tell you why they're in that spot .

1) Florida
Why ? All 5 starters coming back and with the experience and until someone knocks them out of the NCAA tourney then I guess I'am wrong . Sure they have lost a few games here and there but like I said . They man handled Ohio St and they've played pretty consistently all year .
2) UCLA
Why ? Just like Florida, starters starters starters . Experience and coaching will pay off it's dues . Well balanced and strong conference wins, can't argue that one !
3) Kansas
Why ? Kansas, all I can say is run run run and athleticsm runs down their veins . They lost to Texas A&M in Kansas but oh well, they're just as good as any team in the country .
4) North Carolina
Why ? Just like a lot of teams in America, they have some of the best freshmen in the country and they're showing it . Beating Ohio St and Duke and some really good ACC teams . Not to mention of the best coaches ever to coach, Roy Williams . Their transition game is almost unstoppable with Ty Lawson and Brandon Wright both freshmen .
5) Wisconsin
Why ? Well, they have probably one of the top players in the nation Alando Tucker who can light it up anywhere and then they got country boys who can bang down low and take care of buisness .
6) OHIO ST
Why ? Well, even though they're lost and won againsts Wisconsin I still don't believe in the youth of their freshmen, with no experience and mediocre coaching . Losses to North Carolina and Florida does'nt prove to me they can bang with the best .
7) Texas A&M
Why ? Well this one is tough . They lost to UCLA by 3 and LSU by 10 and a Texas Longhorn . Beat a great Kansas team in Kansas and beat a good and young Texas Longhorn team. I guess you can say Billy Gillespie has changed the program around but yes he is a good coach and makes them play Defense . The Cherry on top though, Acie Law . He's the leader who has a all around game and can make clutch shots . With a great starting five and lots of depth on the bench they can have proven they can hang with the rest .
8) Texas
Why ? Im going out on a limb and I'm picking the fresh and youth of this team to carry them . 4 of their starting 5 are freshmen and not to mention 2 of the freshmen are probably the best of the best at their positions . A captain like DJ Augustin and a versatile Forward like Kevin Durant, it's hard to stop the duo !
9) Georgetown
Why ? They have experience and coaching, not too bad huh ? Well, it's been keeping them in the season all year . The Hoyas are playing good basketball and they have position players to do it . With a pedigree coach and watching pops coach, he knows what he's doing !
10) Washington St
Why ? Since the PAC-10 conference is arguable the best conference well they have proved them selves worthy enough to be ranked in the top 10 . A team full of veterants and a EXCELLENT coach who just knows how to puch the right buttons will make a huge surprise for a lot of teams and not to mention one of the candidates for coach of the year .

I can go on and on but quite frankly I don't want to . I guess I will say honorably mention Memphis, Oregon, USC, Marquette, that's it .
To the rest of the teams who we're not mention .

College Basketball Round Up ! Pt Two

Well, this year's freshmen class or as Dicky V likes to call them "Diaper Dandys baby" has been beyond excellent and beyond amazing . Like my boy Kevin Durant, D.J. Augustin and some of the North Carolina greats Ty Lawson and Brandon Wright and plenty of others . I know everyone is going to say what about Greg Oden ? Well, what about Greg Oden ? Greg Oden aka Father Time looks like he could of been one of the guys from the movie the 12 commandments . Other than looks, he has'nt showed me personally that he is good . A guy with his size and mobility and athleticism is not doing anything . He should be the Dwight Howard or Shaquille O'neal in college basketball .

College Basketball Round Up ! Pt One...

Well, college basketball season is getting ready to round up and then MARCH MAAADDDNESS will begin . This year has been one of the greatest basketball seasons in a long time . The new rule in college basketball where you have to play for one year and then you can go pro ! Well, the best of the best high schoolers went to college and they're showing their talent .

Yea, what about those BEARS ?

I guess DA BEARS really lived up to their game stopping defense . Peyton Maning picked apart the BEARS and ran the ball down their throats like nothing ! COLTS have been playing great Def all post season, so kudos to those guys . Rex lived up to his no brain and bad decison making and just choked from start to ending ! Well I guess Peyton finally won the big one and he's a lock for the HALL of FAME as for REX he should be in the Hall Of Shame and he is arguably the worse Super Bowl qb ever, forever ever ever .....!

What About Da Bears ?

Well, the SuperBowl XXI is under way and I wanted to recap some of the postseason. San Diego was my team to go all the way in their conference and of course Da Bears we're my other . Tom Brady "aka" Mr Calm , also known as Mr Knows what he's doing and Mr Clutch, can the guy do any better like he did against the Chargers ? I think not ! Mr Manning finally got the "BIG ONE" accomplished . Well what do you call the SuperBowl ? The reallybig one XXIL XXL ? He beat the boys from the East, yippie and now he's finally going to cap it off with the THE BIG ONE ! Bears have taken charge of the postseason . The most underrated SuperBowl team in history . What wins games? I think it starts with, give me a D, give me a E, give me a FENSE whatdoes it spell ? DEFENSE ! BEARS have " IT" Everyone is talking, well Peyton deserves it ! Why does he deserve it ? Well Dan Marino deserved and Jim Kelly deserved it and Warren Moon ! Which none of them got it ! I think Rex Grossman deserves it, he's played a tough season and has done well ! Does he deserve just as much as Peyton ? While Peyton might be a Great quarterback,he does'nt deserve it . He does'nt deserve it just as much as as TerrellOwens deserves attention right ? That's what I thought ! Conseco Is Making A Comeback !

Conseco has admitted to steroid use and has ratted out his teammates and other baseball players . Well tonight he's made his debut back to a ok baseball player on Pros Vs Joes . That's right everyone, Pros Vs Joes . Conseco forgot the OJ to only hit about 12 homeruns with the ball coming at him 20 miles an hour . It's sad when a guy like that hits that many homeruns feels like the king of the world ! Conseco's career had went to a GOOD player to a complete disaster . Coming from a buff meatball to the words of The Witch from Wizard Of Oz "I'm melting, I'm melting, ahhhhhhh".

Who Did'nt Come Ready ?

1) Notre Dame Fighting Who ? Past two years Notre Dame stood tall for about 5 seconds to the OHIO ST BUCKEYES last year in the Fiesta bowl and basically got kicked in the sack by the BUCKS. Troy Smith and Ted Ginn popped their collar against the NO SHOW IRISH . Oh by the way it gets worst for the NO SHOWS ! Notre Dame, who had high expectations this year . They went to New Orleans to only get bent over and let LSU have their way with them !
2) Well after OHIO ST came off of a good win off of The University of Texas and Michigan Wolverines . Well the BUCKS had a 52 day lay off and decided to take a extra hour to watch The Florida Gators chomp them down left and right . Troy Smith sat back in the pocket and just watched both teams play. The game was over when it started . Florida let OHIO ST score that first touchdown and said alright let's play for real guys, then the 2nd quarter came and then the guys said ok let's play for real, seriously guys let's play for real ! Too late BUCKEYES, GATORS we're already up and definately not looking back . Florida should be the only team to walk with a SWAGGER .
3) This one should be a no brainer . The definately No Fighting Aggies . Several years ago the AGGIES got demolished by the VOLUNTEERS from TENNESSEE by the 3rd string quarter back ! This year I think they just wanted to go to sunny California and hang out, they sure did'nt come ready to play CALIFORNIA . It was a total joke . AGGIES had one good drive and then just like the GATORS did to the BUCKS they dominated for the rest of the game and did'nt look back .
4) I'm changing this up a little and going in a different sporting event . The Detroit Tigers . They must of forgot they we're in the World Series . St Louis walked in and walked out ! Detroit deserves a big " EEEERRRRRRRR " by Jim Rome you did'nt come ready when it counted !
5) I'm a big fan of Mark Cuban but does the Dallas Mavericks come ready for when it really matters ? Sure Mark Cuban can buy out a lot of good players and have a mediocre coach . They're the back yard pits to San Antonio and Houston . Houston and San Antonio have won their titles and on the verge of doing it again but no not Dallas . They'll win 50 or 60 games a year and win a few here and there in the playoffs but give up .
